At Pioneer Handy Services, we believe home maintenance should be more than just a business. Sometimes families, seniors, disabled homeowners, veterans, or individuals facing real hardship need help with repairs they simply cannot afford to ignore.

Our Community Care Program was created to provide limited home repair and maintenance assistance for people who are truly in need. This program is not intended for people looking for free upgrades, cosmetic improvements, or discounted convenience work. It is reserved for situations where a small repair can help improve safety, prevent further damage, or restore basic function in the home.

Who This Program Is For

This program may be available for:

Seniors on a fixed income

Disabled homeowners or residents

Single parents facing financial hardship

Veterans in need of basic home repair assistance

Families experiencing temporary hardship

Individuals referred by a trusted community organization, church, neighbor, or support program

Each request is reviewed individually based on need, urgency, available resources, and whether the work falls within the legal scope of services Pioneer Handy Services can provide.

Types of Help We May Be Able to Provide

Minor safety-related repairs

Basic home maintenance issues

Small drywall, door, trim, or fixture repairs

Minor plumbing-related handyman repairs

Simple accessibility or usability improvements

Weather-related minor repairs

Forgotten home maintenance tasks that may prevent larger issues

Examples may include things like a loose handrail, a damaged door, a leaking sink connection, a broken toilet seat, minor drywall damage, a loose piece of trim, a clogged dryer vent, or another small repair that affects daily living.

Program Limits

Because this program is funded by our time, labor, and available resources, assistance is limited and not guaranteed. We may not be able to accept every request.

This program does not cover major remodels, large repairs, permit-required work, full replacements, emergency response, insurance claims, or work requiring a licensed contractor outside of our legal scope.

Materials may need to be donated, provided by the homeowner, sponsored by a community member, or approved on a case-by-case basis.

Requesting Assistance

To request help through the Community Care Program, please submit a request with your name, contact information, location, a description of the issue, photos if available, and a brief explanation of the situation.

We review requests with care and respect. Our goal is to help where we can, while protecting the program so it remains available for families and individuals who truly need it.
